ROSE PARADE;
KTLA, channels, 5 and 31, Los Angeles, will, for the second time, broadcast the Rose Parade in HDTV on Jan 1, 2000. The parade will be in 1080i, 5.1 sound. KTLA will feature 9 High Definition cameras covering all of the action of this American tradition. Channel 5 will carry the analog simulcast. The 16:9 will be cropped for NTSC viewers.
